Space Station Architecture-Digital Illustrations

In these illustrations I am exploring a realistic portrayal of a large scale space station. Constructed of prefabricated modules and assembled using a series of robotic arms similar to the Canadarm currently deployed on the International Space Station. The arms would be attached to a gantry that slides along the rails of each section of the modules. This construction gantry would disassemble to wrap around other modules or maneuver multiple modules into position. While externally each module looks identical, their internal layout would differ based on it’s function, such as crew quarters, laboratories, mess halls, recreation and fitness. Each module as two emergency hatches and can be isolated from each other in cases of emergency. Sounds like a good setting for a story.
